At Gitex, VMware is exhibiting its cloud, networking and security innovations that are critical as regional organisations undertake their digital transformation journey.
The company is also displaying its VMware NSX networking and security portfolio that will enable regional customers implement a more secure, end-to-end software-based network architecture through a virtual cloud network.
“GITEX offers us a great opportunity to showcase our solutions that deliver secure and exceptional digital and mobile experiences. With our solutions, we are enabling customers and partners understand how its compute, networking, storage, and management capabilities can help optimise workload performance and capacity across hybrid cloud environments,” says Ajay Singh, senior VP and general manager, cloud management business unit at VMware.
“Many Middle East organisations have already started building their digital foundation. We will leverage our strong presence in the industry to button down security at the hypervisor level. While our solution is relevant to all sectors, looking at the increased investment in smart cities in the region, we are particularly focussing on public and private-sector organisations that are looking for ways to manage, monitor and secure their IoT infrastructure,” Singh adds.
The next big thing for VMware is its ‘Project Magna’ which is all about using AI and machine learning for self-driving data centres. The company expects these to be available in almost a year’s time.
