Veeam Software has launched Veeam Data Platform v12.2, a comprehensive solution designed to enhance data protection, recovery, and cybersecurity capabilities across a wide array of platforms. This new release supports the seamless migration and security of data on emerging platforms, offering organizations the flexibility to maintain operational agility while protecting critical data from evolving cyber threats.
Veeam Data Platform v12.2 integrates advanced features that address the three critical challenges organizations face today: data protection and rapid recovery, freedom to move to new platforms, and ensuring data availability where needed, including for AI applications. The platform delivers data resilience across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, combining data protection, secure migration, and sophisticated ransomware protection.
New features in Veeam Data Platform v12.2 include backup support for the Proxmox VE hypervisor, enabling flexible recovery options without relying on backup agents. The platform also introduces enhanced Nutanix AHV integration, ensuring protection of critical data from replica nodes without impacting production environments. Additionally, support for Amazon FSx, Amazon Redshift, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage is expanded, allowing organizations to protect and recover data across these platforms with policy-based automation.
The platform also offers improved security capabilities, such as full management of YARA rules for detecting issues and ensuring compliance, expanded health-check alarms for identifying data integrity violations, and the ability to fast-track backups to archive storage, optimizing costs while maintaining compliance.
Veeam Data Platform v12.2 is a key step forward in supporting over 550,000 customers worldwide, empowering them to secure and manage their data across various infrastructures while ensuring resilience against cyber threats. The platform’s new features cater to organizations of all sizes, helping them navigate digital transformation and secure their critical data during these challenging times.
