Secureworks is taking its annual Threat Intelligence Summit online on 30th June, 2020, for the first time to help organisations stay ahead of the evolving threat landscape. Hosted by the Secureworks Counter Threat Unit, an elite team of researchers and threat hunters, the Virtual Global Threat Intelligence Summit will discuss emerging threats, evolving tactics, and the drivers behind the accelerated rate of change in today’s dynamic cyber environment.
The featured sessions include the following:
- Hacking the Lockdown: How Cybercrime Responded to Coronavirus– In the midst of COVID-19, the cyber threat has felt much more present, but how much of this is fear vs. reality? We look at how much the threat landscape has (or hasn’t) changed through the course of the global pandemic.
- Choose Your Own Intrusion: A Journey Into the DNA of a Targeted Threat Group– Step into the shoes of a threat actor: what do they see, what decisions do they have to make, how do they evade detection?
- Disinformation in the Fake News Era – Disinformation has long been used as a political tool, but recently it has become much more pervasive as social media brings people closer together. Take a closer look at the evolution of disinformation and its use in the cyber threat landscape.
Until this year, the annual Threat Intelligence Summit has been a live event for customers and prospects. To overcome gathering limitations and ensure businesses have access to the latest threat research, Secureworks is hosting the event virtually. The Summit will consist of a series of live sessions over the course of the afternoon, allowing attendees the chance to discover valuable insights and actionable intelligence from top security researchers and threat hunters. There will also be an “Ask the Experts” interactive feature available for the duration of the event.
Attendees will also be able to learn about post-intrusion ransomware, take a deep-dive into threat hunting, and get other up-to-the-minute intelligence on how sophisticated threat actors have adapted their tactics and techniques.
