Pure Storage returns to GITEX Technology Week with two new solutions that include Pure Fusion and Portworx Data Services, in its 6th year of participation.
Showcasing both solutions during the show, the company will also highlight how it can meet the demands of today’s organisations through the easy deployment, provision, and management of data infrastructures. The firm also announced Pure Marketplace at the show, which allows customers to easily upgrade their storage capacities via a simple button.
Pure Fusion brings an autonomous storage environment that allows limitless scale which combines the capabilities of enterprise storage with the versatility of the cloud. Through this, customers are able to access various data services like replication without having to wait for back-end manual work. Pure Fusion has been designed to integrate with FlashArray//X, FlashArray//C, and Pure Cloud Block Store with planned integration support for FlashBlade and Portworx.
Portworx Data Services, on the other hand, helps DevOps engineers deploy a production-grade data service on Kubernetes. It can fully automate Day-2 operations from backups, migration, disaster recovery, and more – making running data services on Kubernetes a simpler task.
James Petter, VP International at Pure Storage said that GITEX is the only trade show that he attends. “GITEX is definitely important for us. Aside from being a central hub for the entire region, it shows the investment and commitment we’ve made to UAE, Saudi and the rest of the Middle East,” he said.
Given the increasing threats that organisations are facing, Petter gave insights into developing a robust security strategy. “You have to take a pragmatic approach to it. While Pure Storage isn’t a security company, we always ensure that the last snapshot of your data is easily available in case you need to roll it back when it gets compromised.”
Speaking about new products that the market can expect from the company, Petter said, “In the near future, we will be announcing integrations with cloud-based solutions and more automation that should see Pure Storage as a subscription-based company.”
