Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) has unveiled the Mate 20 series to consumers in the Middle East and Africa at a launch event held at Burj Park.

Through innovative features such as a revolutionary matrix camera system, a long-lasting battery and the groundbreaking reverse charging, the Huawei Mate 20 series aims to empower users by responding to their daily needs and allowing them to fully immerse into today’s digital world,” said Gene Jiao president of Huawei CBG, Middle East and Africa.
Following a mesmerising animation and a lightshow projection on the Burj Khalifa, Jiao delivered an informative presentation about the brand’s performance in the region and how Huawei has grown to become the second largest smartphone brand regionally and globally.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is equipped with a 40MP main camera, a 20MP ultra wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. The latest device also features an artificial intelligence (AI) portrait colour video mode. Using AI, the Mate 20 Series can isolate human subjects and desaturate the colours around them to dramatically highlight the person. AI Spotlight Reel identifies clips with a shared theme and auto-generates a montage, made entirely of highlights.
According to the company, for every Mate 20 pre-order, customers will receive free Huawei Bluetooth speaker and a Huawei SuperCharge car charger, and for every Mate 20 Pro pre-order comes with new Huawei Watch GT and Huawei wireless quick charge adapter.
Prices for the Mate 20 Pro 6GB and 128 GB is available in emerald green, jet black and twilight colours, for the price of AED3,299 and Mate 20 6GB and 128GB is available in midnight blue, jet black and twilight, for AED2,599.
Both the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will be available for pre-booking starting the 25th of October 2018 at the Huawei Experience Store in Mirdiff City Centre.They will hit the across retail and online stores, including the Huawei e-store starting the 8th of November across the UAE, and the Porsche design Huawei Mate 20 RS is expected to be available soon.
