What are you showcasing at LEAP this year?
We are participating at LEAP under the HPE umbrella with the theme of advancing the way people live and work. HPE Aruba is showcasing different solutions that can help enterprises drive positive business outcomes and unlock insights into the toughest challenges. These include connectivity solutions that can enhance the customer experience in industries such as hospitality, healthcare, large public venues, etc., and AIOps capabilities that allow enterprises to reduce the time spent on manual tasks such as troubleshooting and performance tuning. In addition, visitors to the show can see how we are helping businesses in Saudi manage and secure their remote offices and hybrid workforce with solutions based on zero-trust and secure access service edge frameworks. We are also showcasing the new generation of data centre switching architecture, which is designed for today’s demanding data centre networks with cutting-edge hardware and a cloud-native operating system.
Can you outline your industry focus areas in Saudi?
Our solutions are horizontal, but we have unique solutions catering to different industry segments. For example, the financial services industry needs policy controls to ensure workplace security and regulatory compliance. We offer new mobility workflows across wired and wireless to enable secure engagement, location services, and connectivity between banks’ data centres and DR sites. We have a special focus and teams in the hospitality business leading with offerings contributing towards improving customer experience. We are also well positioned in government, telecom, and oil & gas sectors with tailor-made solutions. We have a footprint in every industry in Saudi.
Has Saudi Arabia made a big leap in digital transformation?
Ever since the pandemic outbreak, virtually every Saudi business has been digitally transforming because it is the only way to sustain and gain an edge in the market. In fact, digital transformation is one of the key pillars for realizing the Kingdom vision 2030. You will find that most Saudi government services are already delivered through digital channels. In the manufacturing and utility sector, IT-OT convergence is picking up steam, and most large enterprises today have dedicated digital transformation teams reporting directly to the CEO.
How do you support Saudi Vision 2030?
As I mentioned, we aim to advance how people live and work. One of the key tenets of the Kingdom Vision 2030 is to diversify from an oil-based economy to a knowledge-based one and improve the quality of lives of Saudi nationals and residents. All the Giga projects in Saudi are focused on this goal, and our solutions play a key role in accelerating the pace of digital transformation. For example, we have simplified networking with a single architecture that spans wired, wireless, and WAN to help our users to enhance user experience, boost IT agility, and slash operating costs. Our hospitality-focused solutions play a key part in those Giga projects.
What is your business outlook this year?
We are very bullish about business growth because the Saudi economy is getting stronger, and we are already starting to see the benefits of Vision 2030 unlocking new business opportunities. Our strategy is aligned with this, and we had double-digit growth last year. We expect to continue the growth trend in 2023, and we are investing heavily in the Kingdom. In fact, our CEO and the executive management give special attention to the Saudi market.
