As data continues to grow exponentially, enterprises must identify the critical tools that enable rapid business transformation in an increasingly hybrid and multi-cloud environment. Cloudera being an expert in handling large and complex data volumes in even the most highly regulated and compliance intensive industries, is further advancing its position as a leader for data-first enterprises seeking to leverage AI/ML and hybrid architectures to drive their businesses forward.
“At Cloudera we believe that data can make what seems impossible today, possible tomorrow because we help organisations to extract right insights from all types of data, be it external data sources, structured data sources or unstructured data sources. We as a platform or as an organization are playing major role in helping organisations adapt to Bigdata, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence”, said Tariq Salameh, Solutions Engineer Manager, Middle East & Turkey, Cloudera.
He added, “This year we are announcing Cloudera Data Platform – CDP One, a SaaS data lakehouse for fast and easy self-service analytics and exploratory data science on any type of data. Initially organisations struggled hard to use big data as solutions on-premises required specific skillset. We took that burden and simplified the process. We wanted them to focus on ‘what to do’ rather ‘than how to do’. We did a series of innovations firstly based on Infrastructure-as-a-service then Platform-as-a-service and now we are announcing CDP One – a complete SaaS offering”.
He also spoke about the challenges faced being a data driven company. All organisations are evaluating themselves to go on public cloud solutions. This journey from on-premises to be on hybrid cloud is extremely difficult. Most of the customers have variedly distributed data, so to create insights with such data is a huge challenge. “We also see a latest market trend where the Edge technology is becoming more powerful. We can witness a boom of IoT, Smart Cars, Smart cities that organisations are adapting to, so to get benefits from these trends is a challenge. We help organisations to overcome these challenges as we have a hybrid data platform. We create readiness plans for the organisations to commence their digital transformation journey in a hybrid or multi-cloud environment. We consolidate data from different on-premises locations and store at one place to be available for each unit”, Tariq said.
Cloudera’s success roadmap is to keep evolving by providing services that make up the solution touch on data engineering, warehousing and machine learning. The services are based on a common codebase and therefore provide the same functionality on AWS, Microsoft Azure and on-premises private cloud environments. We always look forward to supporting our customers in their data transformation journey. Cloudera’s hybrid data platform uniquely provides the building blocks to deploy all modern data architectures.
