At its annual HP Imagine event, HP announced several updates to its Workforce Solutions division, aimed at improving IT management and employee productivity. These enhancements focus on AI-driven tools, remote management capabilities, and expanded refurbishment programs.
One of the key announcements is the expansion of HP’s Workforce Experience Platform, which helps IT managers oversee and resolve issues across devices. After a three-month beta period involving over 270,000 devices, the platform is now being offered more broadly to HP Proactive Insights customers in the US at no additional cost. The platform includes new features for monitoring printer and PC performance, AI-powered fleet management, and employee sentiment analysis, aimed at reducing IT support tickets and minimizing employee downtime.
“We are at the intersection of two major trends – AI and Flexible Work – and both are having a profound impact on our lives,” said Dave Shull, President of HP Workforce Solutions. “At the same time, employees want greater fulfillment and companies want improved productivity. Our Future-Ready portfolio of software and solutions helps guide companies through this shift.”
HP also unveiled its Global Command Centers, which offer advanced monitoring and management capabilities for both HP and non-HP devices. By analyzing data from equipment like PCs and printers, HP can detect and fix issues remotely before they affect employees, shifting IT management from a reactive to a proactive approach.
A notable development is HP’s new Out-of-band Remediation Service, which allows remote troubleshooting of PCs even when they fail to boot. This service, available later this year, will help reduce downtime for employees by enabling HP support agents to address hardware and software problems remotely, without user intervention.
In a push toward sustainability, HP is expanding its Certified Refurbished Hardware program, including LaserJet printers. HP’s HOPE Recycling Futures program, which refurbishes donated devices for underprivileged schools, is also expanding to Mexico, with over 16,000 children benefiting globally from the initiative so far.
HP’s latest updates aim to support flexible work environments, improve IT efficiency, and contribute to a circular economy.
