The UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office and the Emirati Human Resources Development Council (EHRDC) in Dubai, in collaboration with SAS have announced a pioneering initiative, “5000 Digital Talents” with the goal of training 5,000 Emirati students in advanced technologies over the next five years. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s strategic vision to strengthen its digital economy, empower youth, and position the nation as a global leader in innovation and sustainability.
The initiative will provide young Emiratis with critical skills in emerging technology sectors, preparing them for leadership roles in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
SAS has committed to supporting the program through mentorship opportunities and training courses designed to equip students with practical, in-demand skills.
“At SAS, we believe in the power of education and innovation to transform lives and economies,” said Michel Ghorayeb, Managing Director at SAS UAE. “This initiative reflects the UAE’s unwavering commitment to building a sustainable future by investing in its most valuable asset – its people. We are honoured to contribute by empowering Emirati youth with the knowledge and tools they need to lead in the digital economy.”
The initiative aims to build the capacities of university students in their final years, offering them practical guidance, training, and professional development. Additionally, it facilitates access to leading global partners in the digital sector and reinforces the UAE’s ongoing efforts to create a future-ready workforce capable of driving progress and addressing global challenges.
