Exclusive Networks has unveiled X-OD, the digital face of Exclusive Networks and the online delivery channel for all Exclusive Networks cybersecurity and infrastructure products and services. X-OD (‘Exclusive Networks On-Demand’) makes the transition to subscription-based consumption fast, safe and simple for partners and their customers. The new platform marks a revolutionary shift in how cyber and infrastructure solutions and related services are bought and sold, enabling partners to meet the market need for OPEX-based consumption, deliver a fully digital customer experience across the value chain and optimise ongoing customer success with rich data insights. X-OD is available today in the UK, Netherlands and France, with expansion into Belgium, Spain, Germany, Finland, Ireland and Austria from November 1st and the rest of the world in 2021.
“Until now, few reseller partners have been able to capitalise on the market forces driving vendors and customers relentlessly to an ‘everything-as-a-service’ world. X-OD makes it easy for them to fast-forward transformation to subscription-based consumption,” said Jesper Trolle, CEO at Exclusive Networks. “X-OD is a digital platform capable of turning virtually anything into a subscription, simplifying consumption and enabling new services and bespoke bundles to be created, sold and provisioned at speed and scale. X-OD allows vendors who are not currently subscription-based to derive subscription-based revenues. And there is no cost or risk for partners to onboard and begin transforming to new on-demand business models that they can promote under their own brand, with their own proprietary services and even beyond the vendors in the Exclusive Networks portfolio.”
“X-OD is the culmination of over 12 months’ development working alongside countless vendors, resellers and end customers to address the needs of the entire value chain for subscription-based alternatives across all products and services,” said Julien Antoine, EVP Strategy & Operations at Exclusive Networks. “X-OD delivers on our continuing mission to create value and competitive advantage for vendor and reseller partners. Today’s launch enables partners to rapidly onboard the X-OD platform and begin transforming their business models with ease, supported by a wealth of educational, marketing and sales enablement resources.”
Market Drivers
Subscription-based IT consumption is a significant trend in the enterprise IT market, with many ‘as a service’ propositions well established as multi-billion dollar segments. Aligned with this is the deepening IT skills shortage at enterprise organisations, particularly in cyber and infrastructure where organisations increasingly seek to purchase defined business outcomes from technology rather than self-build and manage complex infrastructures and services, and where established and emerging vendors alike are increasingly leading with consumption-based offers.
“X-OD is the platform for partners to solidify their position as strategic IT advisors to their customers rather than merely suppliers,” added Trolle. “It starts with being relevant to market needs, and that means being fully enabled to sell and deliver on a subscription basis. But X-OD is much more than an everything-as-a-service architecture. It is optimised for customer experience and customer success, streamlining how end-customers can engage with technology and providing deep visibility into the customer environment for upselling and cross-selling purposes. There is great interest among our resellers and our vendor community is also very excited about the channel opportunities that X-OD represents. We invite our partner community to start this transformation by joining our extensive Live Demo webinar series available from today at X-OD.com.”
Launch Vendors
Successful pilot phases of X-OD were completed in the summer ahead of today’s launch, featuring three key vendors from the Exclusive Networks portfolio: Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint and Chronicle. All vendors are available via X-OD, and the platform is capable of allowing partners to deliver any product or service within a single subscription.
“There are great benefits for our partners through X-OD, giving them more ways of meeting customer needs and enabling greater customer lifetime value. Subscription-based consumption is not just coming – it’s already here. X-OD is a very exciting initiative and we’re proud to be a part of it from day one,” said Michael Herman, VP Channels EMEA at Palo Alto Networks
“Customers are driving technology change and their demand for choice, flexibility and automation is pushing us all to innovate. With X-OD, Exclusive Networks is generating the kind of added value the channel needs to deliver new business models with speed, scale and simplicity. We are delighted to be supporting the X-OD launch,” commented Martin Mackay, Senior Vice President, EMEA at Proofpoint.
“The X-OD platform gives partners a rapid and scalable way of focusing on customer needs, no matter how extreme or changeable. Exclusive Networks has succeeded in making technology consumption simple, flexible and fast to adopt, and we’re looking forward to the future evolution of the platform to deliver even greater benefits,” commented Magali Bohn, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Director – Security BU, at Google.
