Infor has announced that Mazad B.S.C., a subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) – the Kingdom of Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund – has selected Infor CloudSuite Facilities Management, Infor OS, Infor CloudSuite Industrial, and Infor Mongoose Framework to unify and integrate management of government assets.
Designed to facilitate market growth, efficiency and revenue optimisation, Mazad B.S.C. oversaw the Kingdom’s first private auction of vehicle number registration plates, resulting in record returns. Today, the Bahrain-based entity also organizes online and offline auctions of government assets.
Aligning with the Bahraini government’s strategic relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Mazad B.S.C. chose Infor’s industry-specific solutions to help digitize and optimize operations to reach new levels of efficiency and streamline complex processes. The Infor applications were chosen for their user-friendly interface that can be easily adapted based on current needs, effective cost management, and long-term asset value.
Talal Al Oraifi, CEO of Mazad, said: “Operational efficiency is critical to our success, leading us to seek the most suitable digital solutions and technology partner for our business. With its user-friendly software products, we are confident that Infor will help optimize and streamline our many processes. This is in line with our adoption of the Government of Bahrain’s Cloud First Policy, which saw us migrate to the AWS cloud.”
“Supporting the Bahraini government’s digital transformation strategy, we wanted an end-to-end software-as-a-service offering with an emphasis on enterprise asset management,” explained Mohamed Sater, head of information technology at Mumtalakat. “It was important for us that the technology vendor we chose had a flexible offer based on the AWS cloud, and we chose to work with Infor because of its proven AWS-based cloud solution and its track record in EAM. We look forward to a successful partnership as we overhaul our in-house applications and move facilities management to the cloud.”
The system is due to go live in 2019. Under the deal, Infor will provide Mazad B.S.C. with a SaaS platform. With Infor Mongoose, businesses can quickly build and deploy applications that are optimized for use via desktop, tablet, or smartphone devices. Infor CloudSuite Facilities Management (CSFM) is an award-winning, proven asset management solution that includes high-value extension applications.
The Infor OS and CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) solutions will also be included in the package. CSI equips users with the tools needed to manage end-to-end operations, from financials to after-market service and analytics. As component parts of Infor OS, Infor ION and Infor Ming.le, will also help Mazad B.S.C. maximise real-time visibility.
Infor ION is powerful middleware that seamlessly integrates relevant information from Infor and third-party enterprise systems. Infor Ming.le is the intelligent portal to organizations’ application suites. It enables single-sign-on for all Infor CloudSuite solutions, and allows users to create personalized homepages that are tailored to their jobs. Employees can also share key screens, data, and attachments for reducing procedural processes.
“With Bahrain having the foresight to create a strategic data center with AWS in the region, Infor is perfectly placed to support government and private-sector companies to leverage the power of cloud solutions,” said Jonathan Wood, general manager, IMEA, Infor. “We are delighted to support Mazad B.S.C. as it builds a strategic business in Bahrain, and we look forward to future co-operation opportunities with innovative businesses in the Kingdom.”
