Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has launched a pioneering initiative called the “Dubai AI Seal” to promote trust and credibility in artificial intelligence (AI) companies. The initiative was introduced under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence. It aims to position Dubai as a global leader in AI while fostering strong partnerships between the government and technology companies.
The “Dubai AI Seal” will certify companies that meet stringent criteria in AI-related services. By obtaining the seal, companies can demonstrate their reliability and commitment to responsible AI practices, which will be recognized by government entities and businesses. Companies seeking to partner with the UAE or Dubai government must hold this certification. The seal includes a unique serial number and classification, helping to establish a network of trusted AI companies for secure AI solutions.
The certification process evaluates companies on several factors, including the nature of their AI services, the expertise of their workforce, and their existing and future projects. Companies licensed in Dubai that offer AI-related products or services can apply for the certification free of charge. Once certified, they can display the “Dubai AI Seal” across their digital platforms and promotional materials.
His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, emphasized that this initiative will foster powerful collaborations between public and private sectors and unlock new economic opportunities. He added that it will also support Dubai’s broader goals of attracting global AI solutions, empowering national talent, and enhancing quality of life for residents.
The “Dubai AI Seal” initiative is part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to drive AI adoption and innovation, ultimately advancing its economy and technological infrastructure.
