HMD Global has announced its new mid-range device, the Nokia 8.1. The smartphone comes packed with Zeiss optics, optical image stabilization (OIS) and Nokia’s very own PureDisplay screen technology with HDR 10 support. The company also promises two days worth of battery life on a single charge. The phone is powered by Android 9 Pie.

The Nokia 8.1 comes with a 12MP main camera with ZEISS Optics that has a 1/2.55” sensor with large 1.4-micron pixels. The phone has a 20MP adaptive front camera coupled with its secondary 13MP depth sensor at the rear of the device. Under the hood, the phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform. On the front, you get a 6.18” Full HD+ edge-to-edge display.

The Nokia 8.1 will be available in three colour combinations, Blue/Silver, Steel/Copper, Iron/Steel, starting December 15 and will retail for an average price of AED 1499. Pre-booking is now live through Jumbo, Axiom, Souq.com, and Sharaf DG.
