Can you provide an overview of your flagship products or solutions being showcased at this year’s GITEX?
GITEX is always a special event on the technology and AI calendar and, for sure, the security calendar. This year, we’re excited to showcase the enhancements we’ve made to the Picus Platform that enable our customers to minimise their threat exposure more successfully and efficiently than ever.
How does your product address the specific challenges or needs of your customers?
The ever-evolving security landscape makes it hard for security teams to determine how secure an organisation is at a particular moment and decide where to focus their efforts. By simulating real-world threats, Picus helps organisations continuously validate their cyber readiness and make data-driven decisions.
Our security validation platform measures the effectiveness of security controls, identifies attack paths to critical assets, and provides the insights needed to optimise prevention and detection capabilities.
What sets your product apart from competitors in terms of innovation, features, or technology?
Security teams are stretched. They don’t need solutions that only throw up issues and add to the complexity. They need solutions that are easy to integrate as part of their existing security stack and can provide the answers they need to address risks, help prioritise actions, and reduce manual workloads.
The Picus Platform provides the actionable insights security teams need to address security gaps swiftly and effectively.
Can you highlight any recent advancements or updates that make your offering particularly exciting?
Among the advancements I’m most excited about is our use of AI. With Picus Detection Rule Validation, for instance, we can now intelligently map an organisation’s SIEM rules to the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and provide suggestions to mitigate coverage and visibility gaps.
AI has the potential to revolutionise the way we do security and at Picus we’re only scratching the surface. There’s lots more to come!
Are you collaborating with any other companies or partners to enhance the value of your products?
This year, we’re attending GITEX with our distribution partners, AmiViz and Trinexia. We’re seeing ever-rising demand for automated security validation, and our partners are a crucial reason Picus is seeing growth across the Middle East and Africa.
How does your product fit into the broader tech ecosystem or industry trends?
Organisations are continuously looking for ways to minimise their threat exposure, and there is a general acceptance across the industry that more than traditional vulnerability management is needed.
Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) is a growing trend in security that advocates breaking out of siloed approaches to obtain a more holistic view of security. It involves aggregating asset data across the attack surface and combining it with vulnerability and validation-related data to facilitate more intelligent decision-making.
Picus firmly believes organisations need a more context-rich view of their security, and with the continuous advancements we’re making to our platform, we’re turning this vision into a reality.
