Can you provide an overview of your flagship products or solutions being showcased at this year’s Gitex?
At GITEX, we’re showcasing Veritas Alta, our secure, unified, and cloud-native data management platform, featuring data protection with unmatched ransomware resiliency, enabling customers to manage their entire data protection estate via a single-pane-of-glass console. It provides the highest levels of application resiliency, application portability across clouds, and optimisation of storage consumption.
GITEX serves as a melting pot for innovation, fostering partnerships, and exploring the emerging trends shaping the technology landscape’s future. We’re to connect with customers and partners to showcase our market-leading data management and protection expertise.
How does your product address the specific challenges or needs of your customers?
Cybersecurity continues to be a big challenge for organisations. Despite their huge potential use cases, AI technologies also pose huge risks to businesses due to their security vulnerabilities. According to our research, 73% of UAE organisations have experienced a successful ransomware attack in the last two years, and 39% have suffered as a result of data security risks.
Veritas provides customers with a trusted data protection solution, and we can also help businesses build an AI implementation strategy to protect their information. If a ransomware attack is a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’, knowing ‘when’ is critical. Our AI-powered anomaly detection capabilities can quickly alert backup admins of potential issues and suspicious behaviour, while automated recovery processes take immediate action to isolate backups with malware, ultimately minimising the impact of a successful attack.
What sets your product apart from competitors in terms of innovation, features, or technology?
The Veritas vision is built on a strategy for Autonomous Data Management, where the solutions use AI and machine learning to self-provision, self-optimise, and self-heal—equipping businesses to be agile and adaptive without putting pressure on human resources. This strategy is founded on Cloud Scale Technology, a containerised, cloud-optimised reimaging of the software underpinning our market-leading NetBackup solution.
Veritas provides the highest levels of application resiliency, application portability across clouds and optimisation of storage consumption. Veritas Alta additionally allows enterprises to illuminate and remediate information risks with data compliance as-a-service.
Can you highlight any recent advancements or updates that make your offering particularly exciting?
We are continuously making new advancements to our current portfolio of solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our recently enhanced product offering is the evolution of Veritas Alta, our secure, unified, and cloud-native data management platform featuring data protection with unmatched ransomware resiliency, enabling customers to manage their entire data protection estate via a single-pane-of-glass console.
We have some other exciting product announcements coming too, which we’ll update on in due course.
Are you collaborating with other companies or partners to enhance the value of your products?
Our Partner Force program provides partners with access to the full breadth of the Veritas portfolio, including NetBackup Enterprise, the industry’s first AI-powered autonomous data management solution, NetBackup IT Analytics, and Alta Data Protection for safeguarding enterprise data across any environment, at any scale. Our program aims to accelerate channel partners’ transition to the cloud with enhanced rewards for cloud-based deals and a simplified transaction process, in addition to new training and accreditation programs.
We’ve also recently launched a dedicated MSP Program, offering MSPs a set of incentives, a wide range of training and enablement, and flexible pricing models to expand their offerings and capitalise on the growing demand for data protection and cloud-native cyber resilience solution.
How does your product fit into the broader tech ecosystem or industry trends?
The evolving cyber threat landscape poses significant challenges for businesses worldwide. AI and emerging technologies are creating huge security risks, and cybercriminals are exploiting them to build more sophisticated forms of attack. Yet, the majority (77%) of UAE organisations are also turning to AI technologies to boost security. Given AI’s dual nature as a force for both good and bad, the question will be whether organisations’ AI protection can outpace hackers’ AI attacks.
Our customers are taking advantage of our data protection solutions with inbuilt AI-powered anomaly detection, which can alert admins to suspicious behaviour and trigger automated recovery, minimising damage from successful attacks.
