With over 280 DLSS-enhanced games and apps available today, it is clear that NVIDIA DLSS is being adapted at a rapid pace. In fact, DLSS 3 is now accelerating performance in 29 released games, an adoption rate 7X faster than that of DLSS 2’s in the 6 months of release. Following GDC 2023, all developers now have access to the DLSS 3 plug-ins and NVIDIA Streamline to add the AI-powered technology to their games.
This week, the list of DLSS games continues to expand with Forza Horizon 5, Deceive Inc., Tchia, Gripper, Smalland: Survive the Wilds and Last of Us Part I all getting DLSS performance upgrades.
Forza Horizon 5 Gets a DLSS 3 Performance Upgrade
DLSS 2 has been accelerating gameplay in Forza Horizon 5 since November 8, 2022, with 84% of RTX gamers playing with DLSS ON. The new update hits today and will bring DLSS 3 and Reflex support to Forza Horizon 5. When activated, DLSS 3 enables GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs to break the 120 FPS barrier at 4K with every setting maxed out.
With DLSS 3, DLSS 2, and NVIDIA Reflex all supported, GeForce RTX gamers will receive the definitive Forza Horizon 5 experience, enhanced with ray tracing and AI-powered performance boosts.
DLSS Games List Grows by 5
With DLSS 2 plugins available for both Unreal and Unity, and integration documentation available publicly from the NVIDIA Developer webpage, DLSS 2 can be added to games in as little as a day, giving millions of GeForce RTX gamers a superior experience. This ease of integration and massive install base make it a no-brainer for developers to incorporate, leading to a massive surge in DLSS 2 adoption, in everything from AAA blockbusters to indie titles developed by a single person.
The most recent DLSS 2 games include:
- Deceive Inc.
- Tchia
- Smalland: Survive the Wilds
- Last of Us Part 1
- Gripper
DLSS Frame Generation Available Now For All Developers
At GDC last week, NVIDIA made DLSS Frame Generation publicly available for developers to integrate into their games and applications. The public release of NVIDIA’s DLSS Frame Generation plugins will allow even more developers to adopt the framerate-boosting technology. DLSS Frame Generation is now also available to access via NVIDIA Streamline, an open-source, cross-vendor framework that simplifies the integration of super resolution technologies in 3D games and app.
DLSS Image Quality Comparisons Get Better with NVIDIA ICAT Video Analysis Enhancements
NVIDIA Image Comparison & Analysis Tool (ICAT) helps anyone quickly analyse image quality between screenshots and videos, and works on any Windows PC. It is critical for helping determine the proper settings when doing image quality analysis. With the latest update, HEVC format videos are now supported for comparison, as well as the ability to export analysis as a video file.
NVIDIA ICAT allows users to easily compare up to 4 screenshots or videos with sliders, side-by-sides, and pixel peeping zoom-ins. Align comparisons spatially and temporally, examine the differences, and draw conclusions.
