Mimecast has returned to Gitex 2018 with its newest offering, Mimecast Awareness Training. This service is designed to offer training content and real-world simulation attack scenarios to help enable organisations to become more secure by changing the security culture of their employees.
“This year we are totally focussed on our cyber resilient strategy and why building an effective human firewall is vital. We have thus launched our security awareness training, using which we want to educate our partners and customers on the role effective training and risk scoring can play in improving an organisation’s defences,” said Jeff Ogden, general manager Mimecast Middle East.
The company is also demonstrating the importance of building an effective human firewall through a series of interesting videos being played at the company’s stand at Gitex Technology Week.
“Embracing a cyber resilience strategy means protecting a business with comprehensive security controls. Securely operating a business in the cloud requires new levels of IT preparedness and educating employees is key to building such a strategy,” explained Ogden.
Ogden added that for the past year, the company has been concentrating on strengthening its foothold in UAE. “We will continue to invest heavily in the region and by next fiscal year, Mimecast aims to expand its presence in the region, particularly in Saudi Arabia which is a growing market with a lot of potential.”
At the event, Mimecast executives are available to enlighten visitors about cyber resilience for email, especially in the banking and finance sector. In order to demonstrate how important it is for organisations to implement robust security measures against cyberattacks, like spear-phishing and impersonation fraud, a series of live hacks are also being performed by Mimecast.
